The large main bedroom features a king size bed and french doors opening onto a north-facing veranda with a wood-fired barbecue and pizza oven.  A fully equipped kitchen includes an induction glass cook top, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, and stainless steel cookware.  And  in the spacious bathroom there's a full size bath you can fill with steaming hot, pure fresh Tasmanian rainwater.   European-style windows and doors are all triple-glazed, airtight, and fully screened.  And of course there's a flat screen TV/DVD player, plus a library of more than 200 DVDs, over 100 books, and fast free wireless internet.

But most importantly, the whole house is amazingly quiet and comfortable.  The internal temperature remains at around 20°C (without a fire) even when it's close to zero outside – using an energy-efficient heat pump reverse-cycle air conditioner and a constant supply of preheated fresh air provided by a unique passive ventilation system that uses stored hot water to heat incoming fresh air.  In summer, the  super  insulation and continuous extraction of warm air through roof vents helps the house remain less than 25°C without an air conditioner or fan, even when it's well over 30°C outside.
